Luke Brabant

 

Luke Brabant is a Forensic Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of New South Wales. He is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), a fellow of the College of Forensic Psychologists, and a Board Approved Supervisor. He has over ten years’ experience working in the public sector assessing and treating adult offenders in custodial and community settings. 

 

Prior to working with LSC, Luke spent 8 years working for custody and community-based sex offender programs. In these roles, he specialised in the assessment and treatment of men who have sexually abused adults, and / or children. He has extensive experience writing forensic reports for sentencing and releasing authorities, case managing, consulting with community agencies, and facilitating training in the assessment and management of offenders. Luke has provided both group-based and individual intervention for offending and other mental health concerns. 

 

Luke is able to provide therapeutic intervention for a range of presentations, including harmful sexual behaviours, substance abuse, relationship issues, gender identity and sexuality issues, stress management, anxiety, depression, and managing emotions / coping (including anger management). He also has extensive experience working with clients who have intellectual disabilities and other cognitive impairments.
