Rebecca Anne Geddes

 

Rebecca is a Forensic and Health Psychologist, and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is a Fellow of the APS College of Forensic Psychologists and sits on the committee of the College of Forensic Psychologists, Queensland branch. In addition to her work as a psychologist, Rebecca is appointed to the Intermediaries Panel as an Officer of the Court to assist vulnerable witnesses to communicate with, and to be understood by the Court. Rebecca’s experience in forensic psychology has included work with the Queensland Courts, Youth Justice, Queensland Corrective Service, Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service, and Child Safety Services. She has considerable experience working with high-risk/high-harm individuals who have engaged in physical, sexual or domestic violence, child maltreatment, and other problematic behaviour. She has completed a range of psychological assessments and reports, including presentence reports, risk assessments, weapons suitability assessments, and assessments for immigration, child safety and civil matters. Rebecca has postgraduate training in forensic psychology, health psychology, applied forensic psychology and forensic mental health. She also has a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Rebecca has a special interest in investigative interviewing, offending, extremist ideology and working with personality disorder, ASD, ADHD, and psychosis. She works in collaboration with stakeholders and believes in a holistic approach to treatment.
