Laura is a forensic and clinical psychologist in NSW with almost ten years’ experience. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, the College of Clinical Psychologists and the College of Forensic Psychologist. Laura has worked extensively with clients in the forensic domain but also with clinical and military populations.
Psychological assessment has formed a significant portion of the work Laura has undertaken in the last decade and she provides forensic psychological assessment and reports for criminal, civil and other legal contexts, including for immigration, domestic / family violence assessment, NCAT, pre-sentence reports, mental health reports, violence and sex offender risk assessments, AAT, Workers Compensation, Corrections Victoria and the Firearms Registry NSW.
Therapeutically, Laura has skills in both individual and group work with adults and adolescents (clinical, forensic and military) and has worked with diverse presentations and clinical issues, such as trauma (from PTSD to intergenerational trauma and complex trauma presentations), substance use issues, aggression, clinical disorders (including mood and anxiety disorders) and personality disorders, as well as life stressors and difficulties. Laura applies a holistic and individualized approach to treatment, never assuming a ‘one-size-fits-all’ strategy in therapy.
